Emerging from his own distinct corner of the West Coast electronic music scene, Random Rab offers a powerful and unique contribution to sonic exploration. Often referred to as “The Master of Emotion” his music is patently beautiful and melodic. With diverse influences ranging from trip-hop, classical and Arabic to bass driven compositions, his songs are considered anthemic and timeless. As a multi-instrumentalist and singer, his tracks are organic, uplifting and stand on their own as a distinct genre. Listeners of all types of music can find something they can relate to in his sound.
Producer, label owner, and DJ, David performs live as his downbeat and mid-tempo alter-ego Auditory Canvas (auditorycanvas.net). For the past 2 years, David has teamed up with a live vocalists Jillian Ann (jillianann.net), and more recently, Kyrstyn Pixton (kyrstynpixton.bandcamp.com), to create a new dynamic and multi layered live show to support soon to be released EPs containing collaborative tracks from all 3 artists as well as new solo releases from each of them. The combined result is lush, intricate melodies, and deep bass fused with haunting vocals and glitched breaks and ethnic percussion, creating a uniquely captivating sound that touches you, moves you, and embraces you.
