The dubstep electronic genre has emerged as a force in the United States, and no one embodies its momentum more than San Jose based artist Nit Grit. One of the most prolific and hardworking of the new field of dubstep/grime performers, his current music was formed in his home turf of the Bay area from a background in glitch, idm, and breakcore, and is set apart by its soulfulness and melody. True to the trend towards dramatic entrances in so many of the new fraternity of sensational dubstep artists, Nit Grit burst on the scene with his first show in March 2010 in a co-billing with Excision.

Siberian born, New York raised producer and musician Boris G has been writing and performing as Gladkill since 2007. Drawing from years of musical experimenting with many genres and instruments, Gladkill combines several elements of electronic music to craft his signature sound. Gladkill can best be described as a combination of melodic IDM melodies fused with bass-heavy rhythms reminiscent of the “Acid Crunk” and Dubstep sound. Gladkill has shared the stage with such performers as Signal Path, Martyparty, Mimosa, Eliot Lipp, R/D, Starkey, NastyNasty, Lazer Sword, Ana Sia, and many more. “Everything inspires me. Silence is my canvas.

B. Bravo (Adam Mori), a west coast California native, brings his own sound of synthesizer funk to any track he lays hands on, whether in the studio, behind the turntables in the club, or performing his music live on stage. As an original member of the Frite Nite crew based in San Francisco, he is also a driving force in the Modern Funk Movement. Bravo’s live set was unleashed this year to the masses and has received rave reviews from sweat crowds and music connoisseurs alike. Expect to hear his original Future Funk bangers (performed with samplers, synths, keyboards and vocoder) blended with melody-infused dubstep, UK funky and just plan funk, all loaded with full helpings of bass. Bravo’s massive tune ‘Computa Love,’ one of Benji B’s best of 2009 selections for his BBC 1xtra radio show, was picked by Gilles Peterson’s label as the lead track for the ‘Brownswood Electr*c’ 2010 compilation. His latest EP by the same name was released last year on Frite Nite Records.

A DJ going on 13 years, Max Ulis was first inspired by the sounds of house, trip hop, and early drum and bass. With the formation of Vancouver’s Lighta! Sound and the success of New Form’s Dubforms parties headed by Malcolm Levy and Michael Red, Max gained ground as one of North America’s first dubstep DJs. Over the past two years Max has moved away from dubstep, coming full circle with his music to reintroduce elements of his first loves, house and techno.
To quote Resident Advisor’s Andrew Ryce, “Max Ulis’ increasingly diverse output could hardly be described with any one term, but it’s all united by an extremely spare and dry aesthetic. Stripped back, pitch black, and stark, he strikes an enviable balance meshing the dark with the dance floor.”

Noah D is without doubt one of the top Dubstep producers hailing from the USA. He has been building his reputation in both the Dubstep and Drum n Bass circles since 2003 and is highly regarded on both sides of the Atlantic for his musical output. His tune, “Seeeriousss” has torn up every dancefloor on every corner of the world and became a full fledged Dubstep anthem in 2009 and is still being rinsed on most dancefloors. His music has received consistent radio play on many of the UK’s biggest radio stations including RinseFM, Kiss, BBC’s radio1 and 1xtra and has been supported worldwide by DJ’s from different areas of the electronic music such as Skream, N-Type, Plastician, DJ Hype, Dieselboy, Bassnectar, Glitch Mob, Gaslamp Killer and Freq Nasty just to name a few!
On the decks Noah D comes equipped with exclusives from many of world’s finest producers and his own originals, while always bringing a taste of diversity and intensity mixed in a carefully crafted style that is guaranteed to create a memorable experience.

“Cohen’s music is unmistakably one of a photographer and filmmaker: cinematic and bursting with story. His songs reflect a relationship of light and sound, and above all strive to reflect the beauty around us.” – Michelle www.aurgasm.us
He was handed his first guitar among the mystical Joshua trees at the age of five. Leaving the desert to pursue a BFA in photography, he landed in Boise, Idaho where a trio was formed. They started playing songs in bars and supporting major acts such as the Violent Femmes and local heroes, Built to Spill. Restless for new music and inspiration, Cohen traveled Europe, playing the streets of Galway and countless Parisian courtyards. And it was here that he found his distinctive voice combined with a Dylan-esque sensibility.
A composer at heart, his live shows consistently captivate audiences via story telling, intuitive melody and intimate vocal delivery. With roots in folk-punk rock, and influenced by Bon Iver, Patrick Watson, Broken Social Scene, Jeff Buckley & Chopin, Cohen’s music features deft lyricism as well as unique mastery of guitar, piano, and mandolin.
Recently, Cohen has been playing shows on the west coast festival circuit [ Lightning in a Bottle / Art Outside / Harmony Festival ] sharing the stage with Yard Dogs, Beats Antique & Sean Hayes. Based in Portland/Bay Area, Cohen is working on a musical “Sea of Destiny” & making music videos.
